Roger Federer has withdrawn from his match agains Tsitsipas in the Q-Finals

The Swiss had played 2 matches yesterday to make a spot in the Q-Finals after

a long battle with Borna Coric where came back from 1 set down and saving 2 match points

besides playing some big points which lead the crowd to turn crazy on the court.

After the match Federer revealed He had some hurt in his right leg especially playing

from the baseline, as He admitted He’s disappointed for not playing

“I am disappointed that I will not be able to compete today, I am not 100 percent physically and after

consultation with my team, it was determined that I not play. Rome has always been one

of my favourite cities to visit and I hope to be back next year.” Roger said

talking about what lead to Roger’s leg injury is regarding to the court conditions as He said

after the 2nd set the court was cleaned and the lines were wet, because of that Federer

complained to the umpire about that and how hard it’ll be for sliding on the lines while water with it

Roger hurt his toe and leg during the match while sliding above the wet lines

which caused the hurt for him

“I don’t quite understand how players just go with it when they water the court,”

“Players kind of check the lines and are like ‘ok we can play’ The lines are wet. Wet playing lines”

“mean you slide. When I slid I hurt myself. I did hurt my toe for two games and my leg was also hurting a little bit.”

“I just don’t understand. They don’t make us play but they should call time. They make us stand

there and feel the pressure from 10,000 people and a live audience.”

“The player will always cave in the end. It is going to take five minutes until the lines are dry

and I don’t think we should play with wet lines. Nobody wants an injured player because of

something silly like this just to make the matches keep going.” Federer added

After all Tennis Fans it’s not a serious injury and makes nothing for him to participate

in the big event of the clay which will start on 26 May, for a chance to make the double career win
