This is what Roger Federer said about the Grass Season

The Grass season started just after Roland Garros Final and Federer choose Halle first stop before Wimbledon

This the first time Federer played Clay before the Grass season in last 3 years

He had played 3 tournaments from Madrid, Rome, and Roland Garros and played

very good matches, especially reaching the S-Final in Roland Garros which was

very good achievement for him after the break from Clay season since 2015.

Federer will play Halle looking for title number 10 and preparing for the big

even in London aiming for a record of 9th titles in Wimbledon.

Roger reveals that He’s fresh and ready for his favourite surface on the tour

“I’m fresh, I’m rested, I have no physical problems,”

“Now it is officially the start of the grass season.”

“I’m just looking forward to the next week.”

“It’s such a familiar place for me, a piece of home in the tennis world.

“I always feel very well here.”

“The pressure is high for me too. The grass-court season is extremely short,”

“There is not that much I can do to get into it as well, other than have that point-for-point mentality.”

“[My] focus needs to be crystal clear and that is what I need to have from the get-go here

as I play John Millman in the first round, who has been a tough one for me in the past.”

“[Grass] highlights my strength and it maybe hides my weaknesses,”

“From that standpoint, I can play how I want, on my terms, how I would like.”

“When you feel that way, it is maybe what Rafa feels on the clay… I have all the options

and when you have options, it gives you options to win and different tactics you can use

against different players. That gives you maybe that little bit more margin you need

to stay out of trouble and win matches.” Federer said

Roger Federer will play his first match this Tuesday against Millman for a rematch of the US Open last years match.
