“I thought long and hard about when and where to come back, Australia was still a bit too early because of my knee. That hurts; it’s one of the places where I like to play the most.”
“I wanted to make my comeback to a small tournament, so as not to be fully in the spotlight, and where the stress is also a little less,”
“I‘m not at 100%, but close to there, that‘s why I‘m confident to come back. I feel strong, better than in November and December when there were a lot more insecurities. I do my sprints, play the sets, I haven’t had any setbacks over the last six months and that‘s very positive.”

“Depending on how things go in Doha, I’ll play another tournament. Otherwise, I’ll go back to an additional training block with tennis and fitness, and then I’ll try to play on clay again.“
