Roger Federer‘s schedule for the next month becomes clear, as it’s official that He will be playing in all of ATP Doha, Dubai, ATP Miami 2021.

The 20 Grand slam champion was expected to play in the Australian Open 2021, but because of his wife, He chooses not to play the first grand slam of the year.

Recently, Roger Federer opened up about why He took the decision to take the ATP Doha 2021 as the first tournament to play especially after not playing an official match for more than 12 months.

“Yeah, I thought long and hard about when and where to come back after my injury, Australia was still a bit too early because of my knee. That hurts; it’s one of the places where I like to play the most.”

“I wanted to make my comeback to a small tournament, so as not to be fully in the spotlight, and where the stress is also a little less,”

Moreover, Roger Federer received an offer to play the ATP Rotterdam 2021, but nothing is confirmed yet as the Swiss man already choose to play Dubai and ATP Miami.

“I‘m not at 100%, but close to there, that‘s why I‘m confident to come back. I feel strong, better than in November and December when there were a lot more insecurities. I do my sprints, play the sets, I haven’t had any setbacks over the last six months and that‘s very positive.”

“Depending on how things go in Doha, I’ll play another tournament. Otherwise, I’ll go back to an additional training block with tennis and fitness, and then I’ll try to play on clay again.“

Roger Federer’s return will be first at the ATP Doha 2021 which will take place at the 8th of March and it may expect some big names as well including Rafael Nadal.
