Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from Montreal 2022. as He felt the pain in his abs muscle once again four days ago after He was training in his Academy while He was training for his serve movement.

The abs injury was the reason why Rafael Nadal withdrew from Wimbledon 2022 Semi Finals against Nick Kyrgios, and it’s still not recovered yet.

“I hope to play again in Montréal, a tournament that I love and that I have won five times in front of an audience that has always welcomed me with great affection. I have no choice but to be prudent at this point and think about health.

“I think it doesn’t make sense to go on. Even if I tried a lot of times during my career to keep going under very tough circumstances, in that one I think it’s obvious that if I keep going, the injury will get worse and worse. That’s the thing that I can say now. I feel very sad to say that, it’s a very tough one.”

“I can’t risk that much and stay two, three months outside of the competition because that’s going to be a tough thing for me. If that happens, it happens, not because I was not doing things the proper way.” Rafael Nadal says.
