During his interview, Nick Kyrgios mentioned that He is playing for his team as well and is excited to play against Daniil Medvedev if He could win.

“At the US Open this is the furthest I’ve ever been so it’s a special year for me already, and hopefully I can keep it going, It was a very tough match for me,I knew J.J. is a home crowd favorite, I knew I had to be on my guns today and serve well. I’m just really happy to move forward.
