Novak Djokovic received huge blame on the Coronavirus spread at Adria Tour
After many Tennis players put the blame on Novak Djokovic, Paul Annacone
encouraged Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal to involve in the issue in the name of the Tennis Council.
Annacone believes that Novak Djokovic should behold to account by the Council.
“There are 10 people on the council; they should figure how they feel about it,”
“You have 500 players around the world on razor’s edge, hoping they can play in eight weeks [at the US Open]. Every action has a consequence.”
Paul Annacone is wondering about the reason why Djokovic took too much risk
Paul was direct in his words and expected the results behind Djokovic’s decision.
“I think there’s a lot of his peer group who are scratching their heads,” he added.
“His [Novak] passion to do something good clouded all the information, all the science.
“It was a good cause, driven by the right reason, but the end result was pretty disastrous,” Annacone said.
Novak Djokovic has released a statement apologizing for the Adria tour pandemic.
“We organized the tournament at the moment when the virus has weakened,”
“believing that the conditions for hosting the Tour had been met,”
“I am extremely sorry for each individual case of infection.”
