Nick Kyrgios wins his first match in the US Open 2022
Nick Kyrgios defeated his friend and partner Thanasi Kokkinakis in the first round of The us open in straight sets with a score of 6-4 6-4 7-6(4).
During his match, Nick Kyrgios was not enjoying a lot He looked so straight in the match and felt sorry because He faced his friend.
Nick Kyrgios admitted that it was a shock for him and Kokkinakis when they first time saw the draw as they never wanted to play against each other.

After winning the opening match Nick Kyrgios says emotional words after beating Kokkinakis as He was never waiting to play against each other, and He just want to play doubles with him.
“When we both saw the draw, it was a nightmare, honestly,”
“We never want to play each other. I’ve just got so much respect for him. I can’t wait to get out there and play doubles with him on the right side of the net.
“We just know each other’s games like the back of our hand. We’ve played together since we were about nine years old. He knows my game well. I know his game extremely well.
“I just played the bigger points well early on. We’re going to play each other, hopefully, never again.” Kyrgios says

Kokkinakis was not happy to play against Nick Kyrgios
from the other side Thanasi Kokkinakis was not happy as well about facing Nick Kyrgios as they both wanted to go deep in the draw, and here is what He said before the match.
“I was definitely surprised and then a little disappointed for sure. We wanted each other to do well and go on a run,”
“We were talking to each other and Nick was saying like, it’s annoying that this is a first-round because we could have played hopefully later if we had the right draw and could have made a good run, but it is what it is.“
“It’s going to be fun. It’ll be interesting out there; he just said, let’s have some fun and play some good tennis, and yeah, it’ll be interesting. I think the atmosphere will be good. It’s a weird dynamic. We haven’t played each other since the juniors and that was weird as well. So now it’s going to be probably a packed house, I don’t know, it’s going to be strange.”
